A few months ago, Abanca began the renovation of its office concept. The objective: To reorganize the spaces to achieve greater efficiency and comfort both for clients and for bank staff and to create a warm and collaborative atmosphere, representative of its corporate identity. The new communal space concept, which is currently being implemented, is centred around an airy and bright open-plan area with commercial help desks, interactive unit and informal meeting spaces.
The project meets the need for privacy should this arise by including in each office at least two meeting rooms, separated from the open-plan space by glass fronts and sliding doors on a single recessed KLEIN ROLLGLASS+ guide.
Private but not separate spaces
Glass partitions create privacy without losing spatial continuity.
In this project, a totally minimalist Rollglass+ application was opted for. Recessed in a dropped ceiling and without a lower profile for the fixed glass panel, the Rollglass+ system is invisible and blends into its surroundings. The transition between the open space and the meeting rooms is subtle, without architectural barriers, ensuring that colour continuity is maintained throughout.
The customized glass, which is seamlessly integrated, looks light from floor to ceiling, reinforcing the elegance of the space. The sliding door glides smoothly and silently, offering a wide passageway, without floor tracks. The Klein Soft Closing system ensures safety and convenience for the user: the braking system prevents the door from slamming, with no bounceback, both when opening and closing the door. The ROLLGLASS+ system creates a private space but one which still benefits from the natural light that bathes the communal space, a crucial element for the well-being of the users.
Architectural integration
The Rollglass+ system has been specially designed to achieve complete architectural integration. Its pre-frame system for dropped ceiling installation guarantees a truly impeccable finish and an invisible system, as well as extremely easy and intuitive installation. And, it is these features that made the Rollglass+ system an attractive option for this project.
ROLLGLASS+ won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award: Product Design 2018 and was a finalist in the ADI-FAD Foundation 2018 DELTA awards.
